Our physical therapists (PTs) are highly-educated, state-licensed health care professionals who can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore their mobility. In many cases we can prevent expensive surgery and often reduce the need for long-term use of prescription medications and their side effects.

We teach our patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. At CAPTA, each patient is examined individually so we can develop a unique plan based on the patient’s needs. We use treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Our occupational therapists, and their assistants, help people across their lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). Common occupational therapy interventions we provide include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical & cognitive changes.

Our occupational therapy services typically include an individualized evaluation with the patient and his or her family to determine specific goals. We then customize an intervention to improve the person’s ability to perform the daily activities and personal goals that were set. An “outcomes evaluation” will be set to ensure that goals are indeed being met and if they are not, we will work with you to sustain a more feasible intervention plan. Our occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective. The focus is on adapting the environment to fit YOU, the patient, and YOU are an integral part of our therapy team.

Ready. Set. Grow.

  • Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • We have a systematic evaluation process designed to document a person’s current work ability from a physical ability and motivational perspective. With consideration given to any existing medical impairment and/or pain syndromes, we can help determine a worker’s ability to return to work following a job related injury. We will determine a person’s functional loss following a personal injury, and other elements dealing with the decision of an injured worker’s ability to work at certain levels of stress.

  • Job-Site Analysis
  • A job site analysis can be performed for several reasons. It is typically performed to evaluate an employee’s workstation and determine if the set-up is ergonomically correct. We will observe different aspects of your profession, including current environment, posture, motions, job tasks, and more. We will then provide suggestions on making the work environment more ergonomically correct to prevent or manage your medical condition. These changes can be from simple suggestions of using a foot stool under the feet to provide better sitting posture to more elaborate suggestions of acquiring ergonomic equipment to promote better postures and efficiencies. Talk to your physician about suggesting a job-site analysis.
